Why do I have to activate my account ?
To use the free recaller service, you have to activate your account by clicking on the activation link in the email that is sent to you right after your first email. We have to verify your email address to prevent misusage of the system. If you do not activate your account, you will not receive any reminder emails from recaller.
Which date formats are supported ?
Recaller supports not just single reminders, also recurring reminders like birthdays or monthly appointments are supported.
Please obey the following rules when writing the date for the reminder:
- Enter the day alwas as number (1-31).
- Months have to entered as word. You may use the following abbreviations : jan feb mrz apr may jun jul aug sep oct nov dez.
- Enter the year always with 4 digits. e.g. 2011. The current year is used if you do not enter a explicit year.
- You may add a seubject for the reminder email in parentheses example: (Uncle Tom's birthday) .
- Recurring events can be specified with the following keywords: weekly, monthly, yearly.

Were do I get an overwiew on my reminders ?
You received the password for your recaller account in the activation mail. Use your email address and this password to login here, to get a list of all active reminders. Reminders can be deleted there too.
Has my reminder been stored correctly ?
In the account settings of the user login area, you can activate the automatic email confirmation.
How can I prevent the misuse of my calendar?
To prevent misuse of your recaller calendar, you can (and should) specify a secret word in the account settings. Only emails that contain this secret word in the subject line will be added to your calendar. The secret word has to be entered at the end of the subject line and may not be a number or name of a month.
Example for the secret word "Penguin":

What shall I do if an error occurs ?
In case recaller is not able to read the date correctly, you will recieve an error message by email explaining the problem. In this case youst sent your email again with the correct formatted date in the subject.
